Hydrogen sulfide is very toxic and highly corrosive.
It is a colourless gas that has both flammable and explosive properties, which is why it is important that workers are alerted to its presence using a H2S analyser immediately. It appears in natural gas, landfill, sewer and wastewater treatment among other sources. AES are suppliers of Jerome’s J605 and J651 hydrogen sulfide analysers, which are ultra sensitive (they’re able to read as low as 3 ppb) and are built tough to suit nearly any environment.
