What problem does your product solve particularly well for safety and occupational hygiene teams?

We help companies reduce heat related injuries using a wearable platform as a leading indicator. Epicore addresses the hidden performance loss and safety risk of heat illness, dehydration and associated cognitive impairment by helping workers build hydration habits, prevent cognitive slips and reduce injuries.

What’s the biggest challenge you’re currently seeing in your industry?

The biggest challenge is that much of today’s safety risk is invisible especially in heat-exposed, high-exertion roles where heat stress, fatigue, and cognitive impairment quietly degrade focus and performance, leading to injuries. As global temperatures rise, this risk will only grow, making work harder and environments more dangerous. That’s why proactive wearables like Connected Hydration are effective: they protect worker cognition before performance and safety break down.

How could organisations be using real-time data insight more effectively?

Most heat stress data isn’t truly real time. It measures the environment, not the worker.
Tools like WBGT can say whether conditions are hazardous, but they don’t account for how differently individuals respond to heat or when performance is breaking down during the shift.

Real-time data from Connected Hydration fills that gap by measuring heat strain and dehydration at the individual level, prompting workers to act before cognitive or physical impairment sets in. At the enterprise level, this data helps organizations see which tasks, crews, or times of day consistently carry higher risk so controls can be adjusted proactively.
