We will be attending and exhibiting at this year’s Faculty of Asbestos Management of Australia and New Zealand (FAMANZ) taking place on 21st and 22nd March in Auckland, NZ. The 2-day event will provide a networking and shared platform for practitioners providing services to the asbestos industry.
The conference theme for 2023 is ‘collaboration is key’ and we are pleased to be attending with an innovative product from our partners, Alert Technology. The ALERT PRO 1000 is an early warning device detecting airborne asbestos fibres. The world-first technology sounds an alarm in real-time when airborne asbestos fibres are detected, signalling an immediate and proactive safety response.
AES will be attending sessions and showcasing the ALERT PRO 1000 along with our popular respiratory fit tester, AccuFIT9000 PRO on booth #3 in the exhibition hall. The 2-day event includes presentations from keynote speakers, panel discussions, technical sessions and a trade exhibition.
We are looking forward to getting involved in discussions around asbestos, how best to monitor for it and how real-time technology can support this. Subjects already on the agenda for the conference are the current status of the disease, ASEA’s collaborative strategic plan, Air movement in asbestos enclosures and decontamination procedures and Achieving consistency in asbestos identification and assessment.
To attend the conference you can register here until 10th March.
FAMANZ exists to provide a professional home and learning hub for those practitioners working in the asbestos industry. The organisation provides access to advanced industry knowledge and shared understanding of asbestos assessment, management, and remediation with the aim of improving the practice and competencies of these services.
