Noise dosimeters are used to measure the noise exposure of a person over a given period of time.
They are essential for ensuring that workers and workplaces comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards. AES has a range of noise dosimeter for rental and devices for sale that will suit any industry that requires noise exposure measurement. Discover our range of instruments, including DoseBadge 4, DoseBadge 5 and Safety Officer Noise Exposure Kits.
Employers are required to supply their staff with noise dosimeters that will track the amount and level of noise a worker is subjected to. Currently, workers should not be subject to noise levels above 85dB in an 8-hour period.
Workers in particularly loud industries, such as those involving extended use of heavy machinery, may be subject to permanent hearing damage caused by prolonged exposure to noise.
As we get older, our ability to hear high pitched sounds naturally deteriorates. With exposure to too much noise, however, the ability to high pitched sounds is greatly reduced much faster. It is slow and painless, but completely permanent.
AES supplies our complete range of noise dosimeters to all Australian capital cities, including: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Darwin and Canberra.
