The AccuFIT9000 PRO, designed by our partners AccuTec-IHS, has been awarded the highest award from OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) Industrial Hygiene Awards, which honour outstanding product development.
In its inaugural year of the awards OH&S presented Platinum and Gold achievements to manufacturers whose products or services are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve industrial hygiene.
The AccuFIT9000 PRO was awarded Platinum in the category of ‘Infectious Disease Control’.
“OH&S is delighted by the turnout for our first Industrial Hygiene awards program,” OH&S Editor Sydny Shepard said.
“The safety industry continues to see more innovate and robust products and services added to the
market each year. This contest is just one of the many ways we have highlighted outstanding industrial hygiene products. It is our hope in these continuously trying times that the Industrial Hygiene Awards will bring more information, awareness and safety to employers and employees.”
The AccuFIT9000 PRO is already making waves in the healthcare sector with the increased focus on properly fitted face masks due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Correctly fitted respiratory protection is essential for protecting healthcare professionals from potentially being exposed to airborne bacteria. The quantitative fit tester can also test ALL tight fitting full and half masks including series 95, 99, 100, FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 filtering facepiece respirators.
A Quantitative Fit Test method is deemed the most reliable as results are completely objective, produce a defensible metric, and are not affected by any impaired sense of taste or smell.
