Why has the AirSENCE DUST-WATCH been implemented/hired?

An upgrade to a client’s site involves several key activities with the potential to impact on external air quality. AirSENCE DUST-WATCH was hired to provide real-time dust monitoring to ensure compliance with environmental requirements and to minimise impacts on surrounding receptors.

What was the problem/challenge you were faced with?

The only challenge encountered was during the setup of the monitor. Suitable large-diameter poles were not available on site, so a solution using a sleeper and a smaller pole was implemented to facilitate installation.

What were the main benefits of using AirSENCE DUST-WATCH?

The system is easy to use, and its elevated, off-ground positioning reduces on-site interference.

What have been the results so far?

Dust levels have been effectively managed within acceptable limits, and there has been increased confidence from both the client and stakeholders regarding environmental performance.

How is the data collected being used?

The data is used for reporting and to inform site management decisions. It enables timely implementation of mitigation measures when required and supports ongoing compliance and regulatory reporting.

Any other comments/recommendations?

We have not yet opted to implement system alerts; however, this is a feature of AirSENCE DUST-WATCH we are interested in exploring.
