The portable, rugged Romteck Heat Stress Monitor (HSM) is an essential tool for occupational health and safety (OH&S) professionals to determine parameters that affect heat stress in various conditions from industrial workplaces to underground mines.

The Romteck HSM measures black globe radiant temperature, dry bulb ambient temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and air pressure. The HSM conveniently calculates wet bulb temperature based on dry bulb, RH, and wind speed eliminating the need to refill thermometer water.

Large backlit LCD, displays results as:

  • WBGT (ISO 7243 1989) (BS EN 27243/1994)
  • Thermal Work Limit TWL in W/m2
  • Air cooling power in W/m2
  • Min./Max. work cycle times
  • Environmental zone ratings including unrestricted, acclimatised, buffer, and withdrawal
