What is a MiniRAE 3000 used for?

The MiniRAE 3000 is the first portable VOC gas monitor and 3rd Generation PID from RAE Systems.  The device has a built-in wireless radio modem for real-time data and alarm transmissions, and it has been developed for use by basic operators or advanced operators in hazardous locations and harsh environments.

The MiniRAE 3000 and ppbRAE 3000 are basically one instrument, but two models with the ppbRAE 3000’s range starting at 1 part per billion.  The former device’s range from 0.1ppm to 15,000 ppm and the ppbRAE’s range 1ppb to 10,000ppm.  For fully automatic calibration, this device is AutoRAE compatible – enabling bump testing and full calibration.

For HazMat applications, the MiniRAE 3000 is deployed by HazMat teams, firefighters and arson investigators, along with military, police and SWAT teams.  The device has a library of 200 built-in correction factors which allows better measurement accuracy in the field.
