Face Fit Testing

Face fit testing kits are basically conducted for two reasons:

1. To ensure that the wearer of a respirator can actually put the mask on correctly (as per the manufacturers specifications and guidelines).

2. To ensure that the seal on the face is adequate and the respirator suits the user. Certain facial characteristics (such as beards, acne, scarring and stubble) can affect the seal of the respirator.
